Family Self-Sufficiency
At ICCF, we understand that the more stable a household is, the less dependent they are on outside resources. Having a stable job, structured budget and steady income will help maintain a sense of consistency in how the household operates.
Family Self-Sufficiency provides families with resources that enable them to overcome the barriers holding them back from becoming economically independent. Families work with a resource coordinator to determine the services they will need to achieve their personal and family goals. Family Self-Sufficiency will help families:
-
Obtain or maintain employment
-
Increase income
-
Increase education level with a GED, vocational courses, college credits or a degree
-
Refine their budget and financial skills
-
Improve their credit score
-
End their need for rental assistance
-
Become a successful homeowner
